Exfoliators

Exfoliators are an essential skincare step, as they go on a deeper level than facial cleansers, especially as we grow older. When we were young, our skin naturally shed itself regularly, meaning the skin cell turnover was fast. However, as we age, this process slows down significantly. If we want to maintain brighter, clear, youthful-looking skin, we need to give it a hand, and here is where exfoliators play a part. 
Exfoliation helps remove the dead skin cells and dirt from the skin’s surface, literally unclogging pores, and revealing a fresh and radiant skin layer.
Once pores are unclogged, and the skin’s surface is smooth, daily skincare products, such as moisturizers and serums can penetrate more deeply.
There are two types of exfoliators:
Chemical: Use acids to dissolve the bonds between dead skin cells, allowing for easy removal of them. The kinds of acid used are gentle and work on a molecular level. Some examples are AHAs (Alpha-Hydroxy Acids) found naturally in milk, fruits, and sugarcane, such as Glycolic, Citric, and Lactic acids.
Physical: Have texture like sugar and physically remove the dead skin cell from the surface of the skin
